Stylish Professional Advert

Here I’ll show you how to design a simple but stylish professional fashion-themed advert.
First of all you’ll have to start by making a new document; in my case 700×800 pixels, 72 dpi and fill it with any color. After that apply Gradient Overlay layer style for this layer.

It is very important to make move white color scroll and increase the area of white color. In future we will add to our advert some objects on white background, therefore, there should be no visible boundaries of objects backgrounds.

Ok, move to the next step. Start by getting out the Ellipse Tool, then create a new layer and make a few black round shapes on your canvas.
Then change layer mode to Overlay and set opacity up to 40%.
Ok, now find a nice, suitable stock photo to work with and bring it to the canvas as shown on my picture below:
After that get out the Polygonal Lasso Tool and separate girl from the background.
Deactivate selection with Ctrl+D. Now, time to add some flowers to the back ground. Create a new layer, then select the Brush Tool and make some flower prints using these brushes.
Select these prints with Select > Load Selection and remove current layer. After that create new layer, then set foreground and background colors as #a2ca00 and #005b6b and apply Filter > Render > Clouds to selected area. Remove selection with Ctrl+D. See the result now:
Ok, after that use the Eraser Tool to clear woman’s body from prints, but don’t clear transparent mantle area now.
Then set eraser opacity up to 50% and make a little clear work on the transparent mantle area. You should receive something like this:
Looks good, isn’t it? Ok, go on. Now, you need to find some appropriate stock photo of the perfumes. Bring it to the canvas and reduce a little bit.
Ok, after that select the Eraser Tool to clear white background out the perfumes on top.

Then change it color from pink to some suitable. You can do this with Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation.

See the result below:

Looks good as for me! Move to the next step. To finish off the design part of advert I think, we should add some diamond on the white floor. Use my stock photo or feel free to use your own pictures. Open up the picture and bring some parts of the picture to our main canvas. You can make a couple of copies of each diamond. Reduce each diamond as shown on my screenshot.
After that use the Sharpen Tool to make sharpen those diamonds what are in the foreground.
For diamond in the background use the Blur Tool.
This design wouldn’t be complete without some sort of text now, would it? Start by getting out the Horizontal Type Tool and write out some text with color of #005063. For this tutorial I used Bickham Script Pro font.

Well, we’re done for the tutorial! I hope you enjoyed it, even just a little bit. I hope you become a specialist in fashion-themed advert!
Design a Retro Style Ribbon

Are you interesting in retro style? I have one interesting tutorial for you how to make a retro style ribbon by yourself.
Start by making a new document in Photoshop – around 500×500 pixels in size, or, you know, whatever you prefer and fill it with color of #dac8aa.

Now, find some appropriate texture to put it on the canvas. You can find a lot of interesting textures or feel free to use mine. Open this texture and copy to the canvas. Then desaturate it with Image > Adjustments > Desaturate:

After that change layer mode to Overlay and change opacity to 60%. Merge two of layers in one.

Ok, now I would like to sharpen of background. Use the Sharpen Tool to do this.

Ok, now we start to create the ribbon. First of all, get out the Rectangular Marquee Tool to create selection as on my picture below and fill in with green (#95b900) color on the new layer.

Add two more lines in the same way using yellow (#e9db03) and red (#b94a00) colors.

Remove the selection with Ctrl+D and duplicate layer using Ctrl+J, then use Ctrl+T to rotate copied layer as you can see below.

Also move to the original layer and rotate it to.

Now, select this layer with Select > Load Selection and drag with black to transparent gradient. It will be the shadow from upper part of the ribbon.

Remove the selection with Ctrl+D and merge two of these layers in one. After that get out the Polygonal Lasso Tool and select some part of ribbon in the bottom. Press Delete to clear selected part of image and remove the selection again.

I think, time to add the text our ribbon, give it some life, right? Get the Horizontal Type Tool out and write some text onto your ribbon. In the bottom image I’ve used a_MonumentoTitul for my font, if you don’t have this font just find a good another one. I also used the color of #efe6e0. After that rotate the text with Edit > Free Transform on the ribbon and duplicate four more times.
Then merge all text layers and ribbon layer in one and apply the Outer Glow layer style for this layer.

Now you should have something like this:

Apply Filter > Texture > Texturizer for this layer:

Now, we have a relief like this:

Then, move to the next step. To bring our ribbon three-dimensional effect use Dodge Tool with moderate settings (Brush: 125 px, Range: Highlights, Exposure: 20%) and do a little bit of dodge-work on it. We should have an image like below:
Select Burn Tool (Brush: 80 px, Range: Shadows, Exposure: 30%) to make some burn-work.
Move to the next step. We need to add the grid to ribbon. Create a new document with size of 3×3 pixels and draw the pattern by using Pencil Tool as on picture below.

Then go to Edit > Define Pattern and save it as pattern. After that go back to our main document, use Select > Load Selection to select ribbon area, then create a new layer, get out the Paint Bucket Tool and fill selected area with new pattern.
Remove selection with Ctrl+D and mess a little bit with layer mode and opacity. I tried Overlay and 40%.
Now, it will be better to add a shadow to the places where the arrows indicates.

Create a new layer under the layer with ribbon. Get out the Polygonal Lasso Tool to create selection as on my picture below and fill it with black to transparent gradient.

Remove selection using Select > Deselect and blur the shadow a little bit with the Blur Tool.

Add more shadow to other two places in he same way.

Looking quite good now. To finish off this tutorial, I think, we need to add some shadow to the background. Go to the background layer, select the Burn Tool (Brush: 300 px, Range: Shadows, Exposure: 30%) and make darker some parts of the background.
That is it for now! Our tutorial is done!
Super Star Logo

Wanna be a super star? First of all, create your own cool logo! You don’t know how to do this? This Photoshop tutorial created special to help you.
Start by making a new document in Photoshop, something like 500×300 pixels and fill it with gradient (use colors of #c0cfcc and #e2e5de).

After that you should stylize your background. I think, the better way will be to add a couple of white lines to the background. To do this use the Pen Tool (select the Paths instead of Shape Layers) and draw such curve line as mine:

After hat get out the Brush Tool and a hard round brush about 1 pixel with white color. Then activate the Direct Selection Tool and right-click on the curve line, select Stroke Path as on picture below:

A little dialog box will appear as in the screenshot. Choose Brush and press OK.

See the result on my picture below.

Ok, now apply the Drop Shadow layer style for current layer.

Looks better than before.

Ok, move to the next step. Start with creating the logo. Use the Horizontal Type Tool to write down something like ‘SUPER STAR’ with white color. Actually, it does not matter what font color you will use.

In the above image I’ve used a font called AG ForeignerULB (65 pt, Crisp), which is sadly a commercial font. Feel free to try a different font such as Arial Black. Ok, before we start the next step we need to find some suitable texture which we will use later. I think, this one will be good for our tutorial. First of all we need to add the pattern to Photoshop patterns palette to use it for creating text effect later. Open the picture or find another one using Google Images and use Edit > Define Pattern to save this picture as pattern. Go back to our main document and apply the Gradient Overlay and Stroke layer styles for text layer.

Now, your image should now look like the image shown below:

Ok, I think it is very good logo. But it is unfinished yet. Something is missing? What exactly? Of course the stars! Select the Custom Shape Tool and select the standard Photoshop shape with next presets:

Print a couple of white stars on the words.

Ok, then merge all layers with stars and the text in one layer and apply the Drop Shadow layer style to new received layer:

Now, we have something like my picture below:

After that use Layer > layer Style > Create Layer to separate layer style to the new layer and transform it a little bit with Edit > Transform > Distort. The final picture should be the next:

I like it so much and what about you? Hope you like it to! Now, time to add the slogan to our logo. Select the Horizontal Type Tool again and draw out the text line in the bottom. I prefer to use the Bickham Script Pro font, but if you don’t have it fell free to use another one. For this text line I used the color of #4f5e70:

To finish off the tutorial, I think, we should add a couple of stars to the background. Select the Custom Shape Tool again and the draw the stars.

Merge all layers with stars shapes in one, then go to the layer under and draw a little bit more black stars shapes.

Merge all layers with black stars shapes in one layer and change opacity to 10% for this layer.

Ok we are done! Our logo looks as real superstar logo! Hope you enjoyed this Photoshop tutorial!
Photo Collage from Color to Black and White Effect

Here is one interesting tutorial where I will show u how to create small photo collage and apply color and black and white effects together. If are you interesting, let’s read and make!
Firstly, start by finding a stock photos that you can add the effect to. A couple of good resources to find free stock photos are: stock.xchange and DeviantART. First of all find the photo of interior with sofa and another one will be the photo of the dog. If you want to use your own pictures, feel free to use it and experiment with composition. Open the photo of the dog and try to separate the silhouette from the background with Polygonal Lasso Tool.

Now, copy selected part of image with Ctrl+C, then open the picture with sofa and paste (press Ctrl+V) copied fragment from the first photo to the second.
After that reduce copied fragment about 30% horizontally and vertically
Bulldog does not look realistic in the background. We should fix this problem. Right click on the current layer in palette thumbnails and apply such Blending Options:
• Drop Shadow:

This layer style should be saved on the new layer as separate effect to have an opportunity to work with in future. Apply Layer > Layer Style > Create Layer to divide this layer style from the main layer. Go to the new separated layer with drop shadow (under the current layer) and use the Smudge Tool to transform it a little bit as on my picture below.

After that apply the Eraser Tool and a soft round brush to clear shadow, which is located behind the dog outside floor.

Go to the layer with dog again and apply following Blending Options to it:
• Inner Glow

See the result on the picture below:

After that get out the Burn Tool (Brush: 50 px, Range: Midtones, Exposure: 30%) and obscure the back of the dog, which is in the shade.

I think, It will be better to add the text, get out the Horizontal Type Tool and write out the text using green (#dcea78) color.
Ok, merge all layers in one and duplicate with Ctrl+J. Then we need to desaturate copied layer. We can do this by using Image > Adjustments > Desaturate.
Now we have black and white photo and one color photo under. I’m going to mix two of these photos in the next way: select the Eraser Tool and use some soft round points to clear black and white image partly.
Then use the Custom Shape Tool to add different sizes white animal prints.
Now, merge all of prints in one layer and change layer mode to Overlay. Also set up opacity to 20%.
I’m sorry, but tutorial is over. Hope, you had fun with it and learned something new. Good luck!

Create a new one layer above and merge it with previous to get all effects in one layer. After that select the Polygonal Lasso Tool to create selection as on my picture below. Press Delete button to clear selected area.

Create a new one selection, now, apply the Dodge Tool (Brush: 65 px, Range: Highlights, Exposure: 50%) to make brighter part of the ribbon.

Remove selection with Select > Deselect. Apply again Dodge Tool, but pay your attention that we’ve have changes some of presets: Brush: 7 px, Range: Midtones, Exposure: 50%.

Now it’s time to add text. Use the Horizontal Type Tool and write out something like ‘Best Choice!’ with white color. Apply Edit > Transform > Free Transform to rotate the text.

In this little Photoshop tutorial we’ll be designing multicolored wallpapers with three-dimensional rainbow effect.
Start by making a new document in Photoshop – around 1900×1200 pixels in size, or, you know, whatever you prefer! Best use the default resolution, though 72. Ok, after that apply the Rectangular Marquee Tool to create selection about 1/7 thick canvas and fill selected area with color of #490d69.

After that create another one the same size selection and fill it with color of #2e3894.

Add five more different colors lines in the same way. Use following colors for every line: #0b7eb5, #9aa70e, #cfc211, #c3880a and #ae0617. Now we get nice rainbow canvas.

Deselect chosen area with Ctrl+D. After that get out the Horizontal Type Tool and write out the first word. It will be purple color name with white color. For this tutorial I used Myraid Pro font.

Use Edit > Transform > Rotate 90 CCW to rotate our text line vertical. Change layer mode to Overlay for current layer.

Add more text lines to each line in the same way.

Ok, merge all layers in one. Then use the Rectangular Marquee Tool to make selection as on my picture below and press Ctrl+J to duplicate selected part of image to the new layer.
Then apply Edit > Transform > Warp with following presets as on my picture below:
After that use Dodge Tool (Brush: 300 px, Mode: Midtones, Exposure: 30%) to bring three-dimensional view to this layer.
Now, select another one Burn Tool (Brush: 200 px, Mode: Midtones, Exposure: 20%) to bring some shadow in the bottom.
After that create new layer under the current and fill it with black to transparent gradient to get the shadow from the upper layer.
Looks pretty good, don’t you think? Now go back to the background layer and create one more selection with Rectangular Marquee Tool. Press Ctrl+J to duplicate selected part of image to the new layer.
Apply Edit > Transform > Warp one more time, but use another presets for this layer.
Use the Dodge Tool (Brush: 300 px, Mode: Midtones, Exposure: 30%) and the Burn Tool (Brush: 200 px, Mode: Midtones, Exposure: 20%) to add the same effect as for the layer on the top of our wallpapers.

Color Your Life

I have a few creative ideas what I have to bring you. One of it I would like to describe in this Photoshop tutorial. So, I’m going to show you how to create colorful background and create small accent on it.
In the beginning you should create new document about 500×300 pixels and full it with white color.

Ok, after that use the Rectangular Marquee Tool to create rectangular selection and fill it with color of #7000a4 on the new layer. It will be the shape of the first pencil.

After that use the Rectangular Marquee Tool to create another one selection and apply the Dodge Tool (Brush: 50 px, Mode: Highlights, Exposure: 50%) to selected area to create first pencil’s verge.

Ok, create one more selection from another side and apply the Burn Tool (Brush: 50 px, Mode: Shadows, Exposure: 40%) to create another verge.

Remove selection with Ctrl+D and apply Inner Glow Blending Option to our pencil:

Now we have good looking pencil, isn’t it?

Ok, move to the next step. Duplicate current layer with Ctrl+J and move copied layer a little bit right as on my picture below. Ok, after that apply Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation to get another color for your second pencil.

See the result here on my picture below:

Add more different colors pencils in the same way.

Looking as amazing pencil rainbow as for me. Ok, go on. Now, I would like to add a small accent to the picture. Let’s start to make it. Chose one of the color lines a little bit left or right from the middle, then select some part of it with Rectangular Marquee Tool again and press Delete button to clear selected area.

Remove selection with Ctrl+D. ok, after that we should create pencil top. Select the Polygonal Lasso Tool and create a new one selection as on my picture below:

Now, use the Elliptical Marquee Tool and hold Alt button to cut away small round part of selection in the bottom.

Cut away two more round parts of selection in the same way. After that fill selected area with color of #f0d196.

Then use the same Photoshop tool to create another one selection and use the Dodge Tool to create the first verge of the top.

After that create another selection and use the Burn Tool to create another verge.

Ok, now using the Rectangular Marquee Tool create new rectangular selection and apply Image > Adjustments > Hue/Saturation again with following presets to selected area:

The result should be next:

Remove selection and apply the Drop Shadow layer style to current layer.

See the difference now?

And the last one thing that we have to do is add some title to our pencil. Use the Horizontal Type Tool and write out the text with white color which you can see on my screenshot below. I prefer to use the Electrofied font, but if you don’t have it fell free to use another one.

After that use Edit > Transfrom > Rotate 90 CCW to rotate our text line vertical.

Now, apply the Drop Shadow layer style to this layer.

We get nice title, isn’t it?

We are done for this step! Also you can use the same method to create funny colorful wallpapers. Thanks to all for reading this tutorial!
